“The belonging you seek is not behind you; it is ahead.” — Maz Kanata

We couldn’t be more grateful for the family and friends we have gained from the game of sabacc! This past summer has been full of awesome events not just here in Central Florida but across the country and around the world as new and returning players have been dealing it out via charity tournaments!

We hosted another successful immersive event at Conduit here in Winter Park, FL. for the 2nd year in a row. We hosted Star Wars trivia, a costume contest, and even had in-universe themed cocktails & mocktails again! Because of your generosity, we raised over $900 for the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, helping support individuals and families in need throughout Central Florida. Whether you played, donated, volunteered, or simply showed your support, you helped make a real difference. Events like these remind us how incredible our community is when we come together for a great cause. A huge thank you to Conduit for hosting us and to everyone who helped make the event a success.

For the 3rd year in a row, we made our trek to the wild wild west for Rebel Scum Con. We were very excited to work alongside Hope Supply Co. We had a ton of great prizes from Hyperspace Props and Offworld Exports as well! We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Sabacc For Charity helped raise an incredible $1,653.45 at Rebel Scum Con 2026 for Hope Supply Co.! Thank you Hyperspace Props, Offworld Exports, and Hans Pins for your generous prize donations. So many Star Wars fans came to visit for a chance at winning, learning, and supporting a great cause. A whole lot of fun, laughter, friendly competition, and an incredible community coming together for a great cause. We even got to debut our brand new table covers. We had a lot of compliments and questions about them but sadly, we won’t be selling them. You’re welcome to get creative and inspired to make your own though!

Congratulations to all our winners, especially our returning Rebel Scum Con 1 champion, Kyle Schugart!!  What an amazing feat; our first two time RSC winner! Thank you so much for all your support.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the Sabacc For Charity area! Whether you stopped to see what was going on, sat down with us for a game (or two...or five... or all day), and/or made a donation, we truly appreciate all the love and support. We’re so excited to be able to provide a fun way for our community to come together, enjoy some Sabacc, and give back at the same time. And we’re incredibly grateful to be a part of the Rebel Scum Con family.

Another special thanks to Clan Murraan for the invite and giving Sabacc For Charity the opportunity to be a part of the presentation with Bryce Dallas Howard. Our community is thankful for inclusions to these moments as we continue to spread the love of charitable giving. Having supporters like your clan, shows that we are truly united - all for the love of Star Wars and helping those in need. Thank you all for making this year’s con so memorable. We can’t wait to see you all at the next one!

For a limited time this past month, we were grateful to Brett with surethingcards for choosing Sabacc For Charity as the benefiting charity! It was on September 1, 2026 at 6:15pm where 20% of sales and 100% of tips went to Sabacc For Charity! If you love Star Wars, if you love trading cards, and you love original artwork, you should go check out their page and see if any trading cards or autographed cards might be waiting for you! We want to give a thank you to Imperial Remnant for the opportunity to be on your podcast! What an awesome opportunity and an even bigger thank you to Asha Stargazer for shouting us out to begin with! Watch and learn about the S4C origin story, the logistics of running a charity built around a fictional card game, and where we want to take it next. Here’s the 1hr long podcast!

On September 14th, WE DID IT! $15,000 raised for various charities around the world! This is a huge milestone. Not only have we reached our goal, but it's also the most Sabacc For Charity has raised in a single season—and the year is still far from over! None of this would be possible without the hundreds of gamers from around the world who have played, participated, shared, cheered us on, and given so generously to support this cause. To every single person who has helped make this happen: THANK YOU. And we’re not done yet. Let’s see how much farther we can go before 2026 comes to a close!

We’re looking forward to our next upcoming convention! The highly anticipated and one of a kind event paying homage to the legendary Halcyon Starcruiser is coming back again and so is Sabacc For Charity! HalcyCon is unlike anything else out there! It’s an intimate convention with less than 1k attendees, it’s a themed convention set to a specific point in the Star Wars universe timeline, and everyone creates and showcases their impeccable cosplays and characters with their own unique backstories and everything! This convention will be from October 15th, 2026, 12:00 PM – October 17th, 2026, 9:00 PM at the Double Tree by Universal Studios, 5780 Major Blvd, here in Orlando, FL 32819.

The real update you have all been waiting for! Our World Tournament is in full swing with a few months left to go until the end of our tournament season in November. Don’t forget about our Hero’s Journey! Sabacc For Charity not only celebrates the top-ranked players who win trophies and accolades but also recognizes those who actively participate in charity games. We believe that contribution counts, and those who dedicate their time and effort to these noble causes deserve to be rewarded. The World Sabacc Charity Tournament is also incorporating a Hero's Journey for individual players who frequent sabacc charity games and donate. Gain a level per attended game and progress through the season - the more games attended, the bigger the bounty!

We’ll have some incredible prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place wins but also our Philanthropy Award as well for that player or cantina that raises the most in donations! There’s still plenty of time to join a game in-person or even virtually to gain points and count your credits!

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all our prize sponsors throughout this year. A ton of incredible prizes from Hyper Space Props, Amrod’s Armory, Multiversal Exports, Cantina Surplus, Chapters of Chester, Junk Trader Outpost, Off World Exports, Sparken Scrap ‘N’ Ship, Vader Sabers, Dune Sea Ranch, Hans Pins, Magic Merch and Project LUNAROCK and Aponte Studios. We couldn’t do this without all this incredible love and support. Thank you!

We hope we’ll see you at an upcoming event or even see your name on our tournament list. Until next time!
