Summer fun is on its way!

Hey everybody! We have a whole lot of fun coming up on our calendar and our first one is this weekend!! Come Saturday, June 28th, we will be hosting a charity tournament at the Conduit in Winter Park, FL. Doors will open at 5pm, the tournament will start at 7pm, and we will be having fun all night! We will be helping the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida with 100% of our profits benefiting them from the evening. This is a phenomenal cause that we’re so happy to work with! They are a low barrier residential shelter with a focus on housing, emergency services, and diversion. They help families and individuals return to stable, permanent homes as quickly as possible.

Our Conduit event will have an immersive experience for all to explore! We will have in-universe cocktails (and mocktails) to enjoy while we host our costume contest on stage! We have prizes for our tournament winners and you can earn championship points towards the national tournament as well! Come for the vibes and stay for the fun! We hope to see you there!

If you can’t make our June event, don’t fret!! Next month we will have another charity tournament! On Saturday, July 26th, we will be at Layton Gaming in Altamonte Springs for a tournament benefiting our friends at Runway to Hope. Their mission is to support children & families, primarily in Central Florida, battling pediatric cancer, while seeking a cure. They have a Family Assistance Program, they support hospital funding, and they focus on uniting the community to assist their families on a day to day basis. We helped raise money for them last year and we’re looking forward to doing it again! Layton Gaming has a great space to play and everyone is invited! We will be playing from 1 - 4pm that day and we hope to see you there!

Here’s an update with our mid-season current standings for our S4C National Tournament!

We have some incredible sponsor prizes that have been generously donated to help our 1st year of this tournament! These prizes are valued at hundreds of dollars but could be won by you and your efforts to join our leaderboard!! 

If you’re thinking, “But how can I join the leaderboard?” It’s very easy and we’re happy to show you how. Our S4C National Tournament has 3 goals in mind: 

1. we want to expand our reach & mission to raise funds and awareness for charitable organizations throughout the country, 

2. we want to encourage nationwide cantinas & their players to get together for a common cause and make a positive impact within their communities, 

3. with last and not least being to unite players & cantinas across the country in friendly competition! 

No matter where you may be in the US, there might be a sabacc cantina near you OR a virtual option to join as well! If you are one of the Top 3 players of the charity tournament you donated to and participated in, your total number of points will be collected and submitted by the hosting cantina and you will be shown on the board! But if you have your own cantina and would like to host a charity tournament game, simply select a 501c3 charity of your choice and have at least 6 players donate to the chosen charity a minimum of $5ea to enter the tournament game. We have a PDF and guidelines posted on our website for easy access to refer to! We are also happy to answer any questions you may have. You might find your answers in our FAQ section or you could send us a message! 

If you can’t make it to any of our charity tournaments, we do have a fun monthly meet-up in Downtown Orlando, FL. at The Bao Spot. Completely free to play! We bring all the supplies you will need so come dressed up (if you want), eager to play, and make some new friends while you’re at it! We have monthly regulars and new players every month. At The Bao Spot, you can grab a bite to eat before or while we play so you won’t have to go far to find something delicious to enjoy. We recommend trying their bao with a boba drink! Yum!!
